    Description:

    GBT 18674-2018 8-strand Mixed Polypropylene and Polyethylene Mooring Ropes is constructed of four S-twist strands and four Z-strands arranged so that S-twist strands alternate(individually or in pairs) with Z-twist strands(individually or in pairs).It is made up of bi-component fibres made of a blend during extrusion of polypropylene and of polyethylene,with a minimum of 15 % and a maximum of 50 % of polyethylene. It has strong, lightweight, abrasion resistant, thermally bondable and comfortable property. It is also resistant to sunlight, soil and staining,quick drying properties and able to provide a good bulk and cover. GBT 18674-2018 8-strand Mixed Polypropylene and Polyethylene Mooring Ropes can be widely used in Krill trawl net, Marine ranch super - large wind and wave cage.

The type and quality of terminations, the rate of force application, prior conditioning and previous force applications to the rope can significantly influence the breaking force. A rope bent around a post, capstan, pulley or sheave may break at a significantly lower force. A knot or other distortion in a rope may significantly reduce the breaking force.
